Lewis and Clark has promoted a “Giving Tree” for several years.  Again this year, we would like to assist the needs within our Lewis and Clark Family.  The holiday season is a great time to teach our students about altruism and compassion.  The Giving Tree is a wonderful opportunity for our school family to recognize the needs of others and respond compassionately by providing for those needs.  Students and families may participate in the program if they like.

How it works:

Special ornaments are placed on the Christmas tree just inside the front doors of school listing gifts needed by several families.  On this flyer is a permission slip, which will allow your child to bring home an ornament that lists a gift valued at $20 or less.

How can I participate in the Giving Tree Program?

1. Parent sign and return the permission slip to Mrs. Adler.

2. Mrs. Adler will supervise the child choosing an ornament from the tree.

3. The gift listed on the ornament is purchased.  Please leave all original store tags on the items.

4. Wrap the gift with the ornament attached to the outside. (This is the only way to identify which family receives the gift.)

5. Return the wrapped gift with the ornament attached, to Mrs. Adler in room 2A, by Friday, December 15th.
