LCE Principal's Corner
Welcome to Lewis & Clark Elementary. I am excited to share a little bit about our school community with you. I first joined the Lewis & Clark team in 2023. It has been my pleasure to get to know the students, families and staff who make this school community a unique place to teach and learn.
Lewis and Clark is an incredible place to LEARN because:
We believe in EMPOWERING our students and staff to own their school experience. Staff members have leadership roles in the building, as do students, and TOGETHER, they create great days at LCE!
Our passionate, dedicated, and supportive staff are truly ALL IN for OUR Trailblazers!
As a true intermediate school, our staff are specialists in the needs of upper-elementary aged students. Our neighbors at St. Peters Elementary lay a foundation, and we serve as that all important TRANSITION in preparing students for middle school!
Lewis and Clark is an incredible place to WORK because:
Our FAMILIES are truly the best! We have a supportive Parent Teacher Committee (PTC) who are actively involved in making the school a better place. You should see our playground on a PTC Stay and Play Night!
Come spend 5 minutes at LCE on Veterans Day and you’ll be blown away by our supportive COMMUNITY … that is, if you can find a seat! It’s just one example of the support our residents, even those who don’t have students at our school, lend to our mission.
As members of the Fort Zumwalt community, our staff receive incredible SUPPORT and professional development from experts across the district, and work within supportive and engaged teams that can help any educator grow.
We truly have THE BEST KIDS. Trailblazers get up each and every day ready to write their own story and, while at times we do have to help point them in the right direction, we NEVER question their desire to do great things.
Our Trailblazer community is proud of:
Our long TRADITION of helping Trailblazers learn and grow. As one of our district’s older school communities, we have many second, third and even fourth generation Trailblazers walk through our front doors, each and every day.
Our journey with the Leader in Me program. This year, ALL of our students had the opportunity to lead their own conference, and each and every one of them has a LEADERSHIP ROLE either in their class or in the school as a whole.
The passion and dedication of our STAFF. We have nearly 60 adults who come to LCE, every single day, ready to work hard for Our Trailblazers and primed to make a difference in their lives.
If you ever have any questions about Lewis & Clark Elementary, our school community, or anything at all, please give us a call at any time. Our office staff is here to help you connect with us between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on school days. I and Mr. Craig Brodbeck, our Assistant Principal, are available throughout the year by email or by phone.
Leaders Level Up, Together!
