Drills: We are planning to hold our final earthquake and fire drills of the year on Monday (weather permitting). We’ll practice our earthquake drill first and then evacuate for a fire drill. This would simulate what we’d need to do if there was ever a real earthquake.
PTC Meeting: Our Final PTC Meeting of the year will be on Monday at 5:15pm!
Fly Up Day! We will have our annual Fly Up Day on Tuesday, May 12. SPE will be bringing our rising 3rd graders for tours and presentations about LCE, all with the goal of helping these leaders gain some comfort with LCE prior to joining us this fall!!!
Family Measurable Results Assessment Closing: The Family MRA closes on Wednesday, May 13. If you send a screenshot of your confirmation screen to Mr. Johnson (peterjohnson@fz.k12.mo.us) your child will be entered into a drawing for a free recess for the class!
5th Grade Awards Assembly: Our 5th Grade Awards Assembly is on Friday at 2:15pm! Due to space constraints we are only inviting the families of students who are receiving Honor Roll, a Student Scholar award, a Yearly Referral-Free certificate, or the Presidential Gold and Silver Awards. These invites will be sent Friday (May 8) and a second round sent on Monday (May 11). However, all students who receive an award will receive a certificate they can bring home prior to the end of the year. Regardless, we honor and appreciate all of the hard work that all of our students have put in this year and during their time at SPE and LCE, and will miss them terribly!
